Name and Shame Scotland is a website set up to try and improve the services of professional bodies in Scotland.

If you have encountered a rogue Doctor, Politician etcetera, you will no doubt know there is practically nothing you can do to expose these people.

Being able to list these people on this website should eventually lead to higher standards. Any professional person failing to do their job properly can now be exposed.

Until now, there has been little incentive for professional people to maintain standards. The current complaint procedures are difficult to follow and rarely lead to any real investigation or disciplinary action. How many people have stated after an investigation, it was more like a cover up operation.

Many of these people are in positions where they can basically break the law knowing it is almost impossible for anyone to do anything about it.

Loopholes in the law allow them to get away with things no ordinary citizen could. Professional people deliberately withholding court evidence, or giving false evidence, is something that seems now to be accepted by many courts and solicitors.

Professional people now seem reluctant to accuse fellow professionals of breaking the law. There seems to be a code of conduct similar to honour amongst thieves.

This website also allows anyone wishing to post a message regarding any professional person that has excelled in their position. After all, the main aim of the website is to encourage professional people to maintain the standards expected of their positions.

If you you would like to post a message about any professional person working in Scotland, simply send an email to this website. We will then look at whether the message is suitable to be posted on the site.

We will need copies of documents for evidence and will always give the other side a chance to reply to any complaints about them before the accusations are posted.

If any person wants to take legal action to determine whether or not it is legal for the complaint about them to be posted on this website, then the facts in question will be removed from the website until the legal situation has been decided.
